Our history
The journey of Power Malt spans over six decades, rooted in innovation and resilience. It began in Denmark during a creative competition among three breweries aiming to craft the ultimate malt beverage. Originally developed as a tonic for military use, Power Malt soon became an essential energy source, particularly in Africa during the Biafran War, where it served as a vital food supplement.
By 1988, Power Malt’s iconic formulation emerged under the vision of creating the most powerful malt drink, later rebranded as "Disco Power Malt." Over the years, its popularity soared, becoming one of the first malt beverages to enter the African market, celebrated for its unique taste and energizing properties.
